The Leslie E. Roberts Beach and Recreation Area

The Leslie E. Roberts Beach and Recreation Area, located at 43 Leslie E. Roberts Drive, was constructed in 1999 on property previously set aside by the State of New Hampshire for a Rte 3 Bypass.  When the Bypass project was abandoned, the Town obtained the property for this purpose.

Construction by JMN Ent. of the access roadway into the Beach began in August of 1999. Municipal water, a septic system, electric and telephone were installed. The Beach Bathhouse was constructed in 2000.

The Beach is open to Belmont residents, a residency sticker is required and can be obtained from the Town Clerk.

Parking is also on site for both the Belmont Lake Winnisquam Scenic Trail and the Laconia WOW Trail.

The Town Beach is staffed daily from 9:00AM to 5:00PM mid-June through mid-August, weather permitting.

The bath house is open when the lifeguards are on duty.

Dogs are NOT permitted at the Town Beach.
