Elections and Voting

For TOWN and SCHOOL voting available at the Town Clerk’s Office.
Submit a signed request in person, by mail or email to tctc@belmontnh.gov and:

• Fill out your ballot/s at Town Hall and turn them in immediately
• Take your ballot/s home to complete and return to Town Hall during regular business hours/mail to Town Hall
• Have ballot/s mailed to you and return/mail to Town Hall per instructions

Ballots will NOT be handed to anyone other than the person requesting the absentee ballot.

Request forms can be obtained on our website at belmontnh.gov or in person at the Town Clerk’s Office, or through the mail.

You may register to vote or make changes in your registration in accordance with applicable guidelines at either the Town Clerk’s Office or at a meeting of the Supervisors of the Voter Checklist. Items needed include:

Proof of US Citizenship     –     Proof of Belmont residency     –     Drivers License or other photo identification

ELECTION LAW, effective September 1, 2015 – Voters must show a valid photo ID to vote OR he/she may execute a challenged voter affidavit, and the Moderator shall take a photograph of the voter and attach photo to the affidavit in order to vote on election day.

Republicans – 2,218
Undeclared – 1,267
Libertarian – 0
